How to install a custom light show

Use a separate USB drive
Formatted exFAT or FAT32. Not your dashcam drive: the car won't load light shows from a drive with a
TeslaCamfolder on it.2
Copy the LightShow folder to the top level
Unzip the download and copy the
LightShowfolder to the root of the drive — not inside another folder. Keep the nameslightshow.fseqandlightshow.mp3(or.wav): the car pairs them by name.3
Plug in and play
Parked, open Toybox → Light Show, choose your show from the USB drive and start it. A drive holds one custom show at a time; a new one replaces it.

Questions
How does the AI make a light show from a song?
Your browser listens to the song and maps its tempo, beats, bars, drops and quiet parts. Only that beat map is sent to us; we choreograph every light (and, if you choose, mirrors, windows and doors) to it and check the file against the car's rules before you get it.
Which cars does it work with?
Model Y, Model 3, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck with light show support (Toybox → Light Show). Pick your car before you create the show so the moving parts match it.
Which songs can I use?
An MP3, WAV or M4A you own, between 10 seconds and 6 minutes long. Songs from Apple Music, Spotify and other streaming services are copy-protected (DRM) and can't be read. A 44.1 kHz MP3 is used as it is; anything else is converted to a 44.1 kHz WAV so it stays in sync with the lights.
Is my song uploaded?
No. The song is decoded and analysed in your browser. Only the beat map — a few kilobytes of numbers — is sent to make the show, and the download is built on your device.
How much does it cost?
One credit per show, and free with the Unlimited plan. You're only charged if the show passes the car's checks.
How do I install the light show on my car?
Unzip the download and copy the LightShow folder to the top level of a USB drive formatted exFAT or FAT32 that has no TeslaCam folder. Plug it into the car, open Toybox → Light Show, and pick your show from the USB drive.
Is the full show with doors safe?
Lights only is fine anywhere. Lights + mirrors folds the mirrors and opens the charge port. Full show also moves windows, doors and the liftgate, so only run it with clear space around the car.
