Model Y Performance wraps that suit the car
The 2025+ Model Y Performance has its own wrap template, not the Standard's or the Premium's, because it has its own front and rear bumpers. Download that template free, or design on it in the studio, and plan around the parts that stay black: the bumper trim, the rear diffuser and the carbon-fibre spoiler.

What the Performance changes
Tesla gave the 2025+ Model Y Performance its own front and rear fascias with gloss black finishes, a rear diffuser and a carbon-fibre spoiler, on 21-inch wheels. It keeps the refreshed Model Y's full-width light bar across the nose.
Those bumpers are why it has a template of its own. A design made on the Premium template looks almost right on the sides and wrong at both ends, where the lower bumper shapes differ.
Design with the black parts, not against them
The Performance already wears a lot of black low down, and a carbon spoiler at the back. A wrap that uses that reads as intentional: a two-tone with a dark lower body, a satin colour with gloss black accents, or a racing livery whose darkest colour matches the trim.
Bright, busy patterns can fight the black parts instead. If you want one, keep it on the doors and roof, and let the bumpers stay dark. As on every refreshed Model Y, start a fade behind the front wheel so the light bar doesn't split it.
Screen first, then vinyl
Try the look on the car's own touchscreen first, free: send the PNG from the Tesla app (vehicle software 2026.26 and app 4.59.0 or newer) or load it from a Wraps folder on a USB drive. If it still looks right in a month, the same file is what an installer works from.
A full professional wrap on a Model Y runs roughly $3,000–$5,000. Chrome, colour-shift and textured films sit at the top of that range. Ask whether the gloss black bumper trim is wrapped or left as it is, because it changes both the look and the quote.

Frequently asked
- Does the Model Y Performance have its own wrap template?
- Yes. Tesla publishes a separate Model Y (2025+) Performance template, because its front and rear bumpers differ from the Standard and Premium. A design made on another Model Y template won't line up at the ends.
- What wrap colours suit a Model Y Performance?
- Colours that work with its gloss black bumper trim and carbon spoiler: satin or gloss two-tones with a dark lower body, deep metallics, and racing liveries that use black as one of their colours.
- Can I download a Model Y Performance wrap for free?
- Yes. Community designs made on the Performance template are free to download as PNGs that load onto the car's screen. You only pay if you want the AI to generate an original design.
- Can I preview a wrap on my car before I pay an installer?
- Yes — that's exactly what WrapStudio AI is for. Describe any finish, generate it on a template of your exact model, and see a realistic preview in about 30 seconds. It's the cheapest way to test a look before committing to a $3,000–$5,000 wrap.
- How do I use the design after I make it?
- Export the generated design as a high-resolution image and take it to any professional wrap installer, who prints it on vinyl and applies it. The exported PNG is also compatible with the in-car customization display.
- Is WrapStudio AI free?
- Designing and previewing starts with a credit pack from $2.99, no subscription needed. One credit generates one wrap, and credits never expire.
