Model Y Juniper wraps: the 2025+ refresh, done right

The 2025+ Model Y, known as Juniper, needs its own wrap template: the refresh changed both bumpers, and Tesla publishes three versions of it (Standard, Premium and Performance). A design made for the original Model Y puts the nose and tail artwork in the wrong place on it. Pick your exact version below, then download a free design or make your own.

What changed on the 2025+ Model Y, for a wrap

From the side, the refreshed Model Y looks close to the original, which is why so many designs get made on the wrong template. The differences are at the ends: new front and rear bumpers, new lighting, and new places where the body panels meet. On the Premium and Performance, a light bar runs the full width of the nose; the Standard has separate headlights instead and a simpler front.

A screen wrap is a flat map of the body, one shape per panel. Change the bumpers and the shapes move, so the old Model Y's template does not line up: the middle of a design survives and the nose and tail land in the wrong place. Tesla's answer was three new templates, one per version of the refreshed car.

Which of the three templates is yours

Standard: the refreshed body without the light bar across the nose, with separate headlights. Premium: the refreshed body with the full-width light bar. Performance: the light bar plus its own lower bumper with vertical vents at the corners, a rear diffuser and a carbon-fibre spoiler.

If you are not sure, compare the nose of your car with the pictures on the template page. Picking the nearest-looking template is the most common reason a finished design looks slightly off.

Designing around the light bar

On the Premium and Performance, the light bar is a bright horizontal line through the nose, and it cuts any design that crosses it in two. Gradients look best when they start behind the front wheel, so the nose stays one colour. A darker nose fading into a lighter body makes the light bar look deliberate. A stripe running front to back should either line up with the bar or stay well clear of its height.

On the Standard there is no bar to work around, so a design can run straight across the front. That is another reason not to swap templates between versions: what looks right on one nose is wrong on the other.

On the screen, free; in vinyl, the usual Model Y price

A screen wrap costs nothing: download a design from the gallery or make one, then send it from the Tesla app (vehicle software 2026.26 and app 4.59.0 or newer) or load it from a USB drive with a folder named Wraps. The car shows itself wearing it on the touchscreen and in the app.

A physical wrap on the refreshed car costs about what any Model Y does, roughly $3,000–$5,000 for a full professional wrap. Ask the installer how they finish the film around the new light bar and the new lower trim; that is where quotes differ on this body.

Frequently asked

Is Model Y Juniper the same as the 2025 Model Y?
Yes. Juniper was the project name for the refreshed Model Y that arrived in 2025, and owners still use it. For wraps it matters because the refresh has its own templates, separate from the original Model Y's.
Which wrap template does the Model Y Juniper use?
One of three, depending on the version: Model Y (2025+) Standard, Premium or Performance. The Standard has no light bar across the nose, the Premium has it, and the Performance adds its own lower bumper and spoiler.
Can I use an old Model Y wrap on a 2025 Model Y?
Not well. The refresh changed both bumpers, so a design made on the original Model Y template puts the nose and tail artwork in the wrong place on the 2025+ car. Remake it on the right template, or reuse its prompt in the studio with your version selected.
Are there free Model Y Juniper wraps?
Yes. Community designs made on the 2025+ templates are free to download as PNGs sized for the car's screen. Each one names the version it was made for.
Can I preview a wrap on my car before I pay an installer?
Yes — that's exactly what WrapStudio AI is for. Describe any finish, generate it on a template of your exact model, and see a realistic preview in about 30 seconds. It's the cheapest way to test a look before committing to a $3,000–$5,000 wrap.
How do I use the design after I make it?
Export the generated design as a high-resolution image and take it to any professional wrap installer, who prints it on vinyl and applies it. The exported PNG is also compatible with the in-car customization display.
Is WrapStudio AI free?
Designing and previewing starts with a credit pack from $2.99, no subscription needed. One credit generates one wrap, and credits never expire.
